Women's mid-heel block heel open toe sandal with a concealed hidden platform of 2cm (3/4 inch) height and a stacked effect sturdy block heel of 6.5cm (2 3/4 inch) height. The elegant, minimal and timeless sandals comes with a dainty ankle strap that is elasticated to provide additional comfort. Handcrafted from luxurious espresso brown leather, the chunky whole-cut platform is perfectly balanced with a slim ankle strap, polished gold heel and refined hand-stitched detailing across the toes. Featuring a sturdy block heel and a fully padded insole, the Joni is the ultimate everyday heel. Like walking on clouds!

UPPER
Buttery soft bovine leather, with a whole-cut design across the platform and hand-stitched detailing. Slim ankle strap finished with a polished gold buckle.

All of our leathers are sourced from tanneries in Portugal, Italy or Spain.

LINING
Breathable and ultra-soft leather lining.

INSOLE
Fully extra-padded insole for all-day, cloud-like comfort.

PLATFORM
2cm (3/4 inch) cork platform for extra shock-absorption and cloud-like comfort.

HEEL
6.5cm (2 3/4 inch) block heel, with a stacked leather effect.

OUTSOLE
Velvety nubuck leather sole.

Fits true to size with a standard width. Half sizes should take the larger whole number. People with wider feet are advised to size up.

Cute and comfortable, yet a little akward to walk in

These are very cute and sturdy. I feel stable and cushioned standing in them. I can't yet comment on longevity but they appear well-made at first glance. The leather is soft and does not cut into my skin.
I give them 4 stars, however, because walking in them is weird. With every step, the heel of the shoe slaps the heel of my foot like a flip flop. My guess this is due to a combination of the elastic in the ankle band and the sole having zero flex. Maybe this will fix itself as the shoe breaks in and the sole might become more flexible? If so, I'll change my rating to 5 stars. Or maybe this is typical of heels and I have unrealistic expectations. Also, the ankle band only has 3 holes punched in it, so it sits looser than I'd like on my feet. I had to punch some extra holes with a paperclip to get the ankle band to hold my foot securely.
My feet are 25.5cm long, 10cm wide, and I ordered a size 40. The length and width seems good. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend these shoes.

As noted in our product description, these are platform sandals, featuring a hidden cork platform at the front. Platform shoes naturally feel more rigid than non-platform styles. Over time, the shoes will gradually adjust to the shape of your feet and your walking patterns, so any initial stiffness or “slap” should ease as they break in.

Regarding the ankle straps, the holes are punched to fit a standard ankle circumference, but you’re absolutely right that adjusting the holes to achieve your perfect fit is at your discretion. Many of our customers choose to make small adjustments to get the most secure and comfortable fit.

Gorgeous and comfortable

These shoes are worth every penny. I preordered these 3 months ago and was originally worried that a size EU 40 would translate smaller than anticipated on my wide US size 10 feet. Not only did the size fit perfectly, the toe box was very accommodating to my flatter foot. There was also a good amount of cushioning, especially at the heel of the shoe where I bear most of my weight.

I took these shoes out for a spin, and spent the day walking a total of 2 miles, and my feet weren’t dying by the end of day. This brand and these shoes surprised me so pleasantly, I’ll have to invest in a fall/winter pair of boots.
